Cult Classic.

It’s a strange affair. A new iteration of certain model of car is launched to the masses, and it’s thought to be just another car on the road. People buy them new, trade them in, go to the shops with it, go to work, go to school. People enjoy it, and a few fall in love with it. It’s a hidden gem. 30 years later, the exact same car that was taken for granted- a regular everyday car is now well sought after. People desperate to get a hold of one, willing to pay ludacris amounts for 30 year old car. Double, triple, quadruple, 10 times more- any amount to get a mildly used/well looked after classic. Such is the tale of the 1985 E30 M3.
In the late 80s/ Early 90s, BMW raced the E30 in touring car and Rally events, and it dominated the touring car scene. It is still to this day the most successful touring car ever built, with over 1500 victories. It’s also considered one of BMW’s last “driver cars” as it was mostly mechanical, no electric assistant or interferences ruining the experience. And an experience it truly was- and is to this day.

E30 M3. Truly, the ultimate driving machine.
