The extravagance and beauty of man cannot superseded that of nature.
We look to it, we study it and we take cues from it- but still our pursuit is in vain. Natural beauty is perfection. We’d never be able to come close to the magnificence that is creation if we’d never had it to start with. Look around you. Almost everything is inspired by nature.
Whales inspired wind turbines. Birds inspired planes. The list goes on. We draw inspiration from the very thing we’re killing off. Ironic.

Speaking of beauty, I shot a wedding last weekend. The very first. I, am not a wedding photographer. Or even a wedding person for that matter. But I was asked, so I delivered. I’ve never shot something so important. The pressure! Oh, the pressure. I wasn’t really the guy talking the actual shots, but almost everything else was my responsibility. It was my camera used, my camera settings, and my post-processing. It’s such an important event, that there’s almost no margin for error. These pictures are lifelong. I am so happy I didn’t cock it up. It took forever to get it perfect, but I’m so happy with the results. It’s also some of the first shots of mine that actually got physically printed, and to see your photography on paper really is something else. It’s surreal. But I’d wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone. To feel a shot captured it to relive it. It’s captivating. Physical really does trump reality in this scenario. Take good pictures. Print them. Frame them. Admire them.
