Black Sands

This world.
This world is a test.
This world is hard, man.

I hate how vulgar everything is.
There is literally no escape from the vulgarity that lives on the interwebs and in the real world.
From album cover art to video games, from signposts to promotional packaging. From popup ads to news articles.

What is going on? Are people so stupid? Does the simple inclusion, reference, or hit of obscenity peak a man’s interest? It’s really upsetting to me.
It feels like we’re being taken advantage of- being exploited even. Our eyes are being sold to the highest bidder, and the highest bidder has the deepest pockets, and the most convoluted agendas. Because they know what works. They know how easy it is to manipulate, to twist the knife deeper into the stab wound. To extract every ounce of goodness until the river runs dry.
It’s upsetting, man. It’s so, so demoralizing, so disheartening. It feels like you’re fighting a losing battle, like they’ve won already.
It’s like navigating a minefield of indecency, blind, with only divine inspiration to guide you. The internet has infiltrated our very beings. It’s like injecting a drug directly into your veins, no need for digestion, processing, packaging, filtering. Straight, direct. An all-access pass to the thing we hold most dear- The heart. The spiritual compass, that guides us, helps us navigate this turbulence. Even the most experienced pilot, flying through the thickest of storms, needs a compass to break free. This compass we have, allows us to break free, to maneuver, to remove that hand that suffocates, to finally breathe again.
And that compass is being recalibrated.
Slowly at first, then more and more.
Desensitizing, normalizing.
Immodest morality.

A soul, under duress
