Shipwrecked Shores.

I am extremely pleased with the way this final picture of my sea set turned out. It’s just so cool when you see something, envision an end product, then achieve (and exceed!) those expectations.

Located just outside the local fish market, this ship, once majestic fishing vessels, now corrode away as monuments, marking the location of the market.
Don’t get me wrong- I’m glad these ships have been repurposed instead of being destroyed and scrapped. It’s poetically sad in a way- these ocean-dwelling beast that once owned the seas it sailed, now rest ashore- a tribute to their former glory. I cannot even imagine the stories these forgotten hulls hold. Fisherman’s tales. Tales of strong typhoons, waves towering higher than skyscrapers, the constant taste of sea salt- the sting of the sea.
Tales worthy of movies and tributes,
of novels and news articles.
All lost to the sands of time.
A story, shared only by the sailor and the sea.
