The last shot of Xi’an. The is known as “Halal street” where all the signs indicate the food served as being Halal. It’s funny how in the far far east, almost 7000km away from the Arabian peninsula, and the birthplace of Islam. For the ancient travelers of the 8th century, this was no small undertaking, the birth of the silk road. Traders of the period love dealing with the far east, the tea and silk was desired buy the Europeans and the middle Easterners alike. The recipies of spice and flavours gravitated and lingered on traders pallets, and the destictive taste of Chinese food spread through the land. China, was on the map.
