This is it people. The end of the decade. The 2010s are over. The roaring 20s are back. And I intend to make em just as exciting as the OG Roaring 20s (a.k.a the 1920s) were.
The massive difference in the way we operated as a planetary species just 10 years ago to what we’ve come to live now is incredibly stark. DSL and network television was the norm. Flip phones were still a thing. Having the web on your phone was just beginning to feel like a real thing. The world went to an incredible place with the birth of the meme. The 2010s was truly an incredible era to have lived through. And it can only get better. For better or worse, we’re all in this together, this planet we call home, this journey we call life. Once we begin to realize that and start to live by a moral code, to help others, to empower our peers, to seek pleasure in the success of the fellow man. To want for one what you want for yourself. We cannot become islands, but rather we need to become communities of great trust and dependence. As the African proverb goes:
“To go fast, go alone. To go far, go together.” And that truly does speak magnitudes. We have to reestablish our connections- too many families cut ties over the mundane, too many friends don’t see eye to eye over the idiosyncrasies. Life is too short to hold grudges over anything and everything. At the end of the day, it’s all in your head anyway. Nobody cares if you don’t talk to X, or Y thinks your an idiot. The only person affected is the person reading this. You. So open up. “Empty your mind. Be formless. Shapeless. Like water. Now, you put water in a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow, or it can crash.
